The regulations for their use serve the purpose of preventing caregivers from misusing the medication in place of less intrusive interventions. Being that these medications can provide substantial relief from mental illness and personality disorders, it is imperative to learn the correct methods to care for those who require these medications to increase their quality of life. This course reviews in great detail the requirements put forth by the Department of Human Services including how to fill out and when to fill out the forms. In addition, the monitoring of side effects will be reviewed to include a practical demonstration on how to fill out various side effects assessments and how often they must be completed.
