The Pathway to Opportunities facility (opened in 2006) is designed as a welcoming place to learn, make lasting friendships and enjoy a sense of community that makes learning fun, safe and productive. The
facility is equipped with a sensory room, kitchen, mini-store, personal care areas, recreation room, and
outdoor social/sports area. Learning happens “on location” whether that is at an individual’s residence or
in the larger community.
Participants will enjoy selecting courses and activities from a constantly changing schedule of opportunities. Course topics might focus on such things as exercise, meal planning, interpersonal relationships, social
skills, reading & writing, protecting ones rights, and mastering public transportation. Activities evolve depending
on the season and the interests of individuals but
may include such things as a swimming club, music appreciation, rock climbing, baseball games, movie nights, worship opportunities, camping and
holiday parties.
Contact us for a tour of our facility as well as eligibility to participate in activities, courses or both. |
